The Empowerment and Security Initiative (TESI) will empower 200 displaced women within 18-35 years in IDP camp, Lugbe (DURUMI) to become economically independent by providing vocational training in Ankara product making, and addressing the need for women to be in the forefront of influence on matters concerning security, peace, and governance.
The project will result in increased economic independence for the participants through the launch of 200 female led businesses, increase social interactions, build confidence in taking leadership roles as they become change agents and promote social rehabilitation of participants to enable them function effectively and support their re-integration into the society.
The program will produce a community of strong, independent, vibrant women that support each other and inspire other internally displaced persons to become better versions of themselves despite past circumstances.
